Can I still knock your door, O Lord; while I still can?

Can I still knock your door

Blues in C

***
I can’t sleep at night, O lord! I can see my crime.
Can I still knock your door, O Lord; while I still can?

What worth was, was my woman and she said me goodbye.
And I was too fool to try to sell my soul, for a kick and high.

O Lord! O Lord! O lord! O Lord! Now I can see my crime.
Can I still knock your door, O Lord; while I still can?

I'm hearing the voices, O Lord! They are calling my name.
Now I’m going insane, O Lord! I’m losing my game.

O Lord! O Lord! O Lord! O Lord! Now I can see my crime.
Can I still knock your door, O Lord, while I still can?

Can I still knock your door, O Lord; while I still can?
I can’t sleep at night, O lord! I can see my crime.

Hearts a Heart and we can't tame it

Hearts a Heart and we can't tame it

*****

My friend plays guitar in a local bar,
and loves a girl who loves any man with a car.
But my friend still mumbles her name,
and says, “Heart’s a heart and I can't tame it.”

And yeah, we know it,
but heart’s a heart and we can't tame it.

And when she rolls over the good rich guys,
my friend plays his lows and highs,
‘cause he knows it and he can feel it,
for her love is a mirror to a blind.

And yeah, we know it,
but heart’s a heart and we can't tame it.

And my friend smiles and improvise',
while she dances with good rich guys,
‘cause he knows it and he can feel it,
“but heart’s a heart and he can't tame it.”

And yeah, we know it,
but heart’s a heart and we can't tame it.
And yeah, we know it,
but heart’s a heart and we can't tame it.
